Dog On Leash Beaches at All Times, 24 Hours 7 Days

Jervis Bay

Hyams Beach is a paradise on earth, and a must-visit spot in Jervis Bay. It’s got the most spectacular sugar-white sand and crystal-clear waters, which makes it one of the best beaches in NSW. The best part is that you can take your furry friend along with you and enjoy a long walk along this beach because dogs are allowed on leash.

Just remember to observe the signs upon arrival as it borders the National Park where dogs are not permitted and the Chinamans Beach does not allow dogs at all. Please also refer to the signage at the various areas.

Tips

  • Free parking (very small area) around here can be a bit of a hassle, especially on weekends and holidays. Also, the area is surrounded by housing.
  • Good news! We have confirmation from Shoalhaven Visitor Centre via message and email that Hyams Beach is a dog-friendly beach, and dogs are allowed on leash at all times.
