Dog Friendly Holiday Park

Nelson Bay

It’s the perfect little getaway with a fantastic location, right in the middle between Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Our tent site was shady and just behind the beach, so we could hear the ocean all day long.

Although the holiday park is dog-friendly and nearby beach access, unfortunately, the beaches weren’t dog friendly. We found a great dog friendly beach a short drive away called Bagnalls Beach, and we loved it so much!

The amenities were fantastic, and we loved the big outdoor area with plenty of BBQs and picnic tables. The toilet block provided a great coastal feel, and there’s even a children’s playground and an outdoor garden chess set!

It’s a holiday park, so you’ll see a lot of campsites, caravan parks, cabins, villas, and more. We saw a lot of dogs around us at the caravan park, which was great!

We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back for another fun and relaxing getaway! That’s awesome!

Tips

  • Tent sites have mats on them and it can be hard to pin down the tent. We had to work around it to pin it down.
  • If you’re a light sleeper, try to avoid the tent site next to the kitchen and toilet blocks.
